MARY LECHMAN (nee POCHUK) August 20, 1924 - December 10, 2007 Peacefully, Mary passed away at Concordia Hospital after a brief illness. Left to mourn her passing are her husband of 54 years Steve Lechman and children, Irene Balaban, Stella (Danny) Sichewski, and Ron (Susan) Lechman. She also left 7 grandchildren and their families: Rick (Heather) Balaban, Bill (Corrine) Balaban, Marisa (Andrew) Balaban, Kyle (Erin) Sichewski, Ryan (Jolene) Sichewski, Jennifer (Rob) Hochkievich, Scott (Barb) Lechman and many great-grandchildren. Mary was born in Lublynec-Nowyj, Galizien. She was predeceased by her husband Dmytro Olencyz, her father, mother and all of her brothers and sisters. Mary will always be remembered as a kind, gentle and loving person by all who knew her. She loved her family, her gardens and all of nature. The family extends their thanks to the staff at the Concordia Hospital for their kindness, compassion and caring. Prayers will be on Sunday, December 16, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Monday, December 17, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Both will be held at Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day St. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements 222-6677
